About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Manager, Master Data Management to lead our Product Data team and drive enterprise-wide data strategy and governance initiatives. This role is critical to ensuring the integrity, consistency, and scalability of our product master data across platforms, systems, and business units. You'll collaborate with multi-functional leaders, guide technical and operational execution, and champion data quality and governance as a key enabler of business transformation. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and grow a high-performing team with clear goals, accountability, and development plans.
  • Serve as the business owner for Product Data, aligning strategy with enterprise transformation and business goals.
  • Define and implement company-wide data governance policies, standards, and guidelines.
  • Oversee the design and maintenance of product data structures, compatibility logic, and configuration models.
  • Drive data quality initiatives, including audits, validation, and resolution of inconsistencies.
  • Collaborate with Product Planning to define technical specifications and product model dependencies.
  • Manage team capacity and resource planning to support timely and accurate product model releases.
  • Establish and monitor critical metrics to measure data quality, team performance, and business impact.
  • Lead technology evaluations and implementations for MDM platforms and data tools.
  • Act as the main liaison between business collaborators, IT, and solution integration partners.
  • Own business requirements documentation and ensure alignment across implementation teams.
  • Identify and resolve cross-functional dependencies and roadblocks to capability delivery.
  • Champion change management efforts to drive adoption of new data systems and practices.
  • Communicate program status, risks, and strategic updates to executive leadership.
  • Manage budget and financial planning for Product Data initiatives, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery.
  • Ensure alignment of product data priorities with customer experience and operational efficiency goals.
  • Promote a culture of recognition, celebrating team and individual achievements.
  • Continuously assess the impact of process and technology changes on data operations and return on investment.
  • Lead collaborator engagement efforts, gathering feedback and driving iterative improvements.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks related to data integrity, compliance, and platform performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Data Management, Computer Science, or related field; Master's preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in master data management, data governance, or enterprise data strategy.
  • 3+ years of experience leading teams, with a proven track record of mentoring and developing talent.
  • Good understanding of product data structures, compatibility logic, and configuration models.
  • Experience with enterprise MDM platforms and data governance tools (e.g., IBM Infosphere, Informatica, SAP MDG, Collibra, Alation).
  • Demonstrated success in driving multi-functional collaboration and collaborator alignment.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a focus on data quality, validation, and performance metrics.
  • Good communication and executive presentation skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Experience leading budgets, resources, and timelines in complex data initiatives.
  • Familiarity with change management principles and driving adoption of new systems and processes.
  • Ability to navigate technical dependencies and resolve implementation roadblocks.
  • Comfortable working in a hybrid agile/waterfall environment with multiple collaborators.
  • Experience in regulated industries or environments with compliance requirements.
  • Passion for continuous improvement, innovation, and delivering business impact through data.
  • Experience leading teams within a SCRUM/Agile environment.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in developing and implementing data standards across global organizations.
  • Experience with data governance system implementation and optimization.
  • Good understanding of logical data flow and data structures to effectively lead architectural decisions.
  • Knowledge of programming concepts and pseudocode to effectively communicate with technical teams.
  • PMP, Six Sigma, PROSCI, and similar certifications in project management, process improvement, or change management.
