As a Senior Manager, Product Development: Headphones/Soundbars, you'll serve as an advocate for our customers and see the products you develop, from ideation to finished product review, come to life in stores and online. This role involves developing products for Walmart customers, offering great value and quality, and leveraging the scale of the Walmart system to impact the business and millions of customers worldwide. You'll be guided by our culture with the support and tools needed to do your best work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborating to assist in setting the category strategy for Private Brands through deep customer understanding, market trends, and industry knowledge.
  • Building relationships and using influencing and leadership skills to partner with suppliers, merchants, business partners, and Private Brand team members.
  • Influencing decisions with merchants about product aspects including replenishment, supply chain, manufacturers, store operations, planning, assortment, layouts, budgets, modular, and pricing.
  • Delivering on key business metrics by working with Sourcing to ensure quality products and achievement of business goals.
  • Knowing your category by understanding your private brand customers and suppliers and thinking proactively about future business opportunities.
  • Focusing on quality through continuous improvement and maintaining business systems and protocols.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Design, or related field and 4 years' experience in design, merchandising, marketing, or related area, OR 6 years' experience in design, merchandising, marketing, or related area.
  • Strong influencing and leadership skills.
  • Ability to analyze performance, understand trends, and translate results into product and brand execution.
  • Passion for product development and attention to detail regarding the core Walmart customer.
  • Data savvy with the ability to interpret performance data and market trends.
  • Tenacious, dedicated, and able to work with ownership, autonomy, and a competitive mindset.

Nice to Have

  • Application development experience with VBA and SQL programming languages.
  • Experience with creative design software.
  • Financial modeling skills.
  • Experience leading and completing cross-functional projects.
  • Manufacturing, product development, or packaging experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Master's degrees in Arts, Business, or Science.
  • Project Management Professional certification.
  • Six Sigma certification.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Design, or related field.
  • 4 years' experience in design, merchandising, marketing, or related area, OR 6 years' experience in the same fields.
