Senior Manager Project Management

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development and promotion of technology portfolio project management practices and the broader Platforms strategy.
• Drive program delivery, proactively balancing scope, schedule, interdependencies, budget, and risks.
• Support senior project/program managers across all stages of the initiative lifecycle to deliver larger, more complex, or high priority programs and projects.
• Lead the definition of staffing/resourcing, responsibilities, and schedules.
• Establish effective program controls and procedures.
• Drive the adoption of HSBC standards and work in alignment with Change framework.
• Set high expectations concerning quality and implement quality assurance processes.
• Lead the team to meet program objectives.
• Manage all elements of program financial management, including headcount and software delivery capitalization.
• Assist business stakeholders with decomposing complex business requirements into Epics and User Stories.
• Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Drive the use of Agile methodologies within technology teams.
• Negotiate relationships with external suppliers and monitor service agreements.
• Report progress issues, dependencies, and risks to steering committees and initiative leadership, and make recommendations to influence decision making.

Requirements

• Must have a Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or any STEM field.
• 10 years of work experience, of which 5 must be progressive, post-baccalaureate experience.
• 5 years of experience in project management or a product management role.
• 5 years of experience in commercial banking, product delivery, or risk and operations.
• Experience with Agile methodology.
• Experience creating and executing new business strategies.
• Experience designing and delivering organizational change.
• Knowledge of Know Your Customer (KYC) compliance, including rules and standards.
• International travel required up to 5%.
• Domestic travel required up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or STEM field.
• 10 years of relevant work experience with at least 5 years of progressive experience.
