About the Role

Lead the Product Marketing team and oversee all aspects of sales and profitability at Amphenol Aerospace Operations. The role involves driving top line growth, managing margin objectives, and supporting strategic planning for the division. The position is based in Sidney, NY, within a company that has a long-standing history of designing and manufacturing electrical components for the aviation and commercial airplane industry, emphasizing innovation, customer-centricity, and a culture of teamwork and inclusion.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor, supervise, and manage AHSS's Product Marketing team, including assessing performance, setting and monitoring career objectives, and providing coaching and mentoring.
Manage key indicators on a monthly basis such as gross/net margin by product on orders, order rate, revenue, and forecasts.
Monitor market share, product or technology gaps, customer needs, and emerging markets.
Develop and oversee market identification and share goals, competitive analysis, pricing strategies, cost reduction, new product introductions, gross margin goals, and promotional plans.
Conduct field sales training, including web-based training tools, training new sales personnel, and product training at sales meetings.
Prepare and present monthly operation reviews, including sales and margin objectives, and update management on issues, opportunities, and market developments.
Participate in strategic planning and budgeting, including preparing marketing and sales sections of the annual strategic plan and assessing progress.
Create and update promotional literature, manage OEM advertising schedules, and develop distribution promotional plans.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in a Marketing discipline related to selling technical products or in an Engineering discipline.
4-6 years of involvement with field sales or customer engagement.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.
Proficiency in sitting, typing, and computer work.

Nice to Have

Experience with technical product marketing.
Background in engineering or related technical fields.

Qualifications

Legal ability to work in the United States (U.S. citizenship or resident alien status).
Compliance with ITAR regulations (U.S. person as defined in 22 CFR 120.15 and 8 U.S.C. 1101(a)).
