About the Role

Dewberry is a leading, market-facing professional services firm with more than 60 locations and 2,500 professionals nationwide. The company seeks an experienced Senior Marketing Manager to oversee pursuit and proposal efforts supporting its New Jersey operations, focusing on transportation, real estate, and commercial development market segments. The role involves supervising proposal marketing staff, directing work to ensure compliant and compelling submissions, and collaborating with various internal teams. Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise a team of marketing proposal staff to allocate workload, foster professional development, and meet written and oral proposal demands.
  • Work in tandem with Business Unit Managers, Market Segment Leaders, Project Managers, and subject matter experts to determine forward action decisions, pursuit win strategies, craft sales messages, assemble pursuit teams, manage the proposal process, and develop proposal responses.
  • Manage multiple proposal efforts and teams simultaneously within diverse markets and service offerings.
  • Manage, develop, and maintain capture plans for critical pursuits.
  • Manage, develop, and maintain client action plans for high priority clients.
  • Support Business Development and operational personnel in market research, competitor analysis, and client intelligence.
  • Represent the firm appropriately with teaming partners and subcontractors at events and business networking opportunities.
  • Comply with corporate standards to present a consistent appearance/style for presentation graphics, proposals, resumes, and collateral materials.
  • Write supporting sales materials including project descriptions, resumes, service group overviews, and executive summaries.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years' experience personally producing proposals and managing proposal efforts.
  • Experience in an AE, MEP, Construction service industry is preferred.
  • Staff supervisory/leadership experience is preferred.
  • Strong project management and organizational experience, including delegation skills.
  • Effective proposal management skills, including planning, organization, problem identification and resolution, and resource management skills.
  • Extensive MS Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe InDesign experience.
  • Experience with other graphics software and CRM databases is desired.
  • Must be available to work overtime as necessary to meet business requirements.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in an AE, MEP, Construction service industry is preferred.
  • Staff supervisory/leadership experience is preferred.
  • Experience with other graphics software and CRM database experience is also desired.
  • Experience in strategic pursuits, design-build, heavy construction, or integrated delivery is desired but not required.
