About the Role

The Senior Marketing Manager serves as the discipline leader for marketing within the hotel organization, partnering closely with sales and revenue management to develop overarching strategies. The role involves creating comprehensive marketing plans aligned with hotel goals, managing digital presence, overseeing content and partnerships, and driving revenue growth through targeted campaigns and initiatives. The position requires collaboration with internal teams and external partners to ensure brand integrity and maximize marketing effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develops overarching marketing strategy from marketing plans to overall hotel marketing budgets to align with business priorities, in consultation with General Managers.
  • Participates in sales strategy meetings to articulate the latest marketing strategies and implementation details.
  • Reconciles marketing plans monthly with accruals and forecasts in conjunction with the Director of Finance.
  • Leads repositioning efforts in partnership with the Area Team, GM, and hotel executive team.
  • Serves as brand guardian, verifying all marketing reflects brand voice.
  • Partners with Hotel Operations to conceptualize and execute property-level programming and activation based on brand guidelines.
  • Leads the strategic pull-through of continent and brand promotions and campaigns.
  • Develops and manages property email marketing, digital strategies across multiple channels, and paid media campaigns.
  • Supports group lead generation efforts and analyzes key marketing reports to adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Manages internal and external partners to ensure deliverables support hotel strategy.
  • Oversees digital marketing plans, partnership strategies, and identifies opportunities on third-party and local partner sites.
  • Manages OTA strategy in collaboration with Revenue Management through market reviews and media investments.
  • Monitors and recommends SEO updates in collaboration with Marriott Digital Services or agency.
  • Sets messaging strategy for hotel/group of hotels and manages content across Marriott.com, OTA sites, and third-party platforms.
  • Manages photography, creates landing pages, and handles guest communications.
  • Sets partnership and PR strategies, manages PR agency or messaging, and oversees PR events and promotions.
  • Identifies outlet marketing opportunities and defines in-house F&B programming.
  • Develops and implements social media strategy, manages paid social media budget, and reviews content calendars.
  • Leads asset development including collateral, photoshoots, and campaign measurement.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with key stakeholders and manages hotel collateral development.

Requirements

  • 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or related major; 3 years' experience in Marketing or a comparable professional area.
  • OR 4-year bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or related major; 1 year experience in Marketing or a comparable professional area.
  • Experience developing marketing strategies and managing digital marketing campaigns.
  • Ability to analyze campaign performance and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills with internal and external partners.
  • Experience managing content across multiple digital platforms and channels.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in hospitality or hotel marketing.
  • Familiarity with SEO, SEM, and digital advertising tools.
  • Experience managing PR campaigns and agency relationships.
