Senior Print Designer - Kids (HYBRID, WA)

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for managing the design process from concept to completion while partnering with the Director to ensure alignment on priorities and artwork direction.
• Consistently shop and research marketplace, including our competitors for inspirations and opportunities in product, fabric, wash, color.
• Expert knowledge of contemporary market, may lead multiple brands and categories.
• Research, identify, and present print & color trend direction, and create and present design boards for each season showcasing print direction.
• Create artwork and prints for each season.
• Actively participate in the conceptual development of print story and seasonal direction.
• Ensure the print is consistent with market trends and business strategy, designed within cost and technical parameters, and aligned with seasonal direction.
• Provide leadership by exhibiting influence and expertise, affecting the results of the operating area.
• Develop staff through coaching, providing performance feedback, and establishing performance and development plans.
• Create an effective work environment by developing a common vision, setting clear objectives, encouraging teamwork, recognizing performance, and maintaining open communication.
• Own partnership with CFT's and oversee catering content to meet their needs.
• Travel seasonally for research and/or product development.

Requirements

• Degree in Apparel/Fashion Design, Textile, Print, or Graphic Design.
• 7-10 years of experience in design.
• Strong design and conceptual skills, with a strong sense of textile and color application.
• Knowledge of textiles, artwork techniques, and fabric, with the ability to identify key trends and relate them to the brand and consumer.
• Proficiency in Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, NED Graphics, Procreate, and/or Fresco.
• Positive and passionate attitude with strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and build strong relationships with business partners and team members.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and prioritize.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to coach, manage, and develop skills of direct reports.

Nice to Have

• Experience leading multiple brands and categories.
• Experience with seasonal travel for research and product development.

Qualifications

• Educational background in Apparel/Fashion Design, Textile, Print, or Graphic Design.
