About the Role

At Uber, Generative AI is becoming a foundational technology across a diverse range of product lines. It powers user experiences in areas such as personalization, product discovery, document processing, and internal developer productivity tools like coding copilots and on-call assistants. Uber's future rides on AI—from the platform every team uses to the delightful experiences millions feel. We are seeking highly motivated Product Managers to lead Gen AI initiatives, either focusing on AI Platform or Applied AI, to create and implement AI-powered applications and solutions that enhance Uber's products and services.

Key Responsibilities

Deeply understand Gen AI use cases within Uber, pinpointing developer challenges and opportunities, and gather specific platform requirements for launching Gen AI applications.
Set qualitative objectives and quantitative goals, define product requirements, and drive execution with Engineering, TPM, and UX design teams.
Manage internal and external stakeholders, make tradeoff decisions based on technical and business insights.
Monitor and measure launched products and feed insights back into the product development process to drive growth.
Clearly communicate product plans, progress, and results to internal stakeholders, customer teams, Uber executives, and external ML communities.
Craft and execute bold Gen-AI product strategies across Rider, Eats, Driver, or Merchant segments.
Translate fuzzy user pain points into lovable, metric-moving features.
Partner with Engineering, Data Science, and Design teams to launch quickly and iterate faster.
Understand emerging AI trends and incorporate the best ideas into the product roadmap.

Requirements

5+ years of technical Product Management experience delivering highly successful ML products, or former ML engineering or Data Scientist experience.
Experience launching Gen AI applications or agentic systems from conception to launch.
Strong analytical skills with a data-driven decision-making approach.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or similar, with the ability to discuss technical concepts comfortably.
Thrive in cross-functional environments and work backward from customer needs to create scalable solutions.
High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple, competing priorities.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Passion for Uber's mission, technology-driven culture, and a desire to grow and learn.

Nice to Have

Experience with launching agentic systems or AI-powered applications.
Previous experience working in fast-paced, innovative environments.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or similar.
