About the Role

The Senior Product Marketing Manager for Multicloud Infrastructure at Cisco is responsible for driving go-to-market strategies for next-generation multicloud solutions that bridge traditional and modern application environments. This role involves translating complex infrastructure capabilities into compelling value propositions, engaging with enterprise architects and C-level executives, and working closely with sales, campaigns, and customer success teams to ensure product visibility and adoption. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop Go-to-Market Strategy for hybrid infrastructure solutions, identifying adoption patterns, use cases, target markets, and customer segments across virtualized and containerized environments.
  • Engage directly with early adopters and design partners to understand infrastructure pain points, application dependencies, and operational requirements, transforming insights into product requirements and positioning.
  • Craft compelling and consistent product positioning, messaging, and differentiators that align with overall strategy and resonate with customers and partners.
  • Develop content for collateral, product training, and resources for sales teams and partners, and serve as a subject matter expert at industry events.
  • Continuously analyze market and customer feedback to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and threats, and conduct competitive analysis to ensure successful product positioning.
  • Use excellent communication skills to influence partners and executives, demonstrating strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
  • Define and monitor metrics to assess GTM success and build trust with infrastructure teams by addressing objections and creating compelling business cases for infrastructure investments.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in enterprise infrastructure or platform technology with at least 5 years in product marketing or technical product management.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent technical experience.
  • Hands-on experience with VMware vSphere/ESXi and Kubernetes/OpenShift environments.
  • Proven track record working with enterprise customers on infrastructure modernization initiatives.
  • Deep understanding of application architectures, infrastructure dependencies, and platform integration challenges.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with infrastructure transformation and application modernization projects.
  • Knowledge of technologies such as vMotion, Storage vMotion, Kubernetes operators, Helm charts, persistent volumes, and CNI plugins.
  • Understanding of enterprise concerns like compliance, data gravity, licensing, and TCO modeling.
  • Experience with Tanzu, Anthos, AWS Outposts, Azure Arc.
  • Experience presenting at industry conferences like KubeCon, VMworld, or Red Hat Summit.
  • Public speaking experience to executive audiences.
  • Product marketing experience and an MBA.
  • Strong project execution skills, attention to detail, and a risk-mitigation mentality.
  • Self-motivation, collaboration skills, and ability to influence across teams.

Qualifications

  • Educational background in computer science, engineering, or equivalent technical experience.
  • Experience with enterprise infrastructure and modernization initiatives.
