About the Role

The Senior Product Marketing Manager- Multicloud Infrastructure at Cisco is responsible for driving go-to-market strategies for next-generation multicloud solutions that bridge traditional and modern application environments. The role involves translating complex infrastructure capabilities into compelling value propositions, engaging with enterprise architects and C-level executives, and working closely with sales, campaigns, and customer success teams to ensure product visibility, adoption, and success. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop Go-to-Market Strategy for new and existing products, including identifying adoption patterns, use cases, target markets, and customer segments across virtualized and containerized environments.
  • Engage directly with early adopters and design partners to understand infrastructure pain points, application dependencies, and operational requirements, transforming insights into product requirements and positioning.
  • Develop core product positioning, messaging, and differentiators that align with overall strategy and resonate with customers and partners.
  • Work with inbound product management, engineering, and the field to articulate value propositions of Cisco Infrastructure and Security products.
  • Enable sales and partners by developing collateral, product training, and resources; engage with sales and customers to understand needs; attend industry events; serve as subject matter expert.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats, ensuring successful product positioning.
  • Influence partners and executives through effective communication, data-driven recommendations, and defining success metrics.
  • Build trust with skeptical infrastructure teams and create compelling business cases for infrastructure investments.
  • Navigate complex enterprise procurement cycles involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Balance technical accuracy with accessible storytelling, discussing technical issues with teams and presenting TCO analysis to executives.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in enterprise infrastructure or platform technology with at least 5 years in product marketing or technical product management.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent technical experience.
  • Hands-on experience with VMware vSphere/ESXi and Kubernetes/OpenShift environments.
  • Proven track record working with enterprise customers on infrastructure modernization initiatives.
  • Deep understanding of application architectures, infrastructure dependencies, and platform integration challenges.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with infrastructure transformation and application modernization projects.
  • Knowledge of vMotion, Storage vMotion, Kubernetes operators, Helm charts, persistent volumes, and CNI plugins.
  • Understanding of compliance, data gravity, licensing optimization, and TCO modeling.
  • Experience with Tanzu, Anthos, AWS Outposts, Azure Arc.
  • Experience presenting at conferences like KubeCon, VMworld, or Red Hat Summit.
  • Public speaking experience to executive audiences.
  • Product marketing experience.
  • MBA.
  • Strong project execution, attention to detail, and risk mitigation skills.
  • Self-motivation, partnership skills, and innovative mindset.
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills in customer-facing roles.
  • Ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams.

  • Educational background with a Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent experience.
