Job Description

About the Role

PATH is a global nonprofit dedicated to achieving health equity. With more than 40 years of experience forging multisector partnerships and with expertise in science, economics, technology, advocacy, and dozens of other specialties, PATH develops and scales up innovative solutions to the world's most pressing health challenges. The organization is seeking a Senior Program Associate to support a critical initiative aimed at helping low- and middle-income countries navigate the evolving health funding landscape, focusing on data integration, analysis, and evidence-based resource prioritization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage data integration and analysis: Lead efforts to gather, integrate, and analyze health financing data from various sources to provide real-time insights into available resources, both domestic and donor assistance.
  • Create data visualization tools that promote usability: Develop and manage a dashboard to track health care resources - both available resources and gaps in financing - to support accurate, timely data for evidence-based health financing decisions.
  • Design and develop mathematical models: Support development of cost effectiveness, health impact, forecasting, optimization, and other relevant mathematical models to extend the team's insights; synthesize inputs from multiple sources and engage with internal modeling experts.
  • Support development of evidence-backed recommendations: Aid government partners in designing actionable recommendations to streamline funding, increase efficiency, and support best practices in healthcare programming.
  • Assist with investment case development: Work with government partners to build data-driven cases for domestic funding allocations and pursuit of supplemental donor assistance.
  • Facilitate learning and knowledge sharing: Lead the facilitation of a learning agenda that shares insights, case studies, and best practices with other partners, countries, and stakeholders.
  • Present key findings: Prepare content for internal and external presentations to share findings and gather feedback.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the private or NGO sector working in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment such as strategy consulting, investment banking, or health financing. Master's degree in business, economics, public health, or related field strongly preferred.
  • Experience in conducting and synthesizing research across health and technical disciplines, with the ability to quickly understand new political or technical contexts.
  • Technical skills in quantitative and qualitative data manipulation and analysis, including building and maintaining analytical models, collecting, cleaning, analyzing, and maintaining disparate data sets, and creating visualizations.
  • Basic experience with modeling disciplines such as cost effectiveness, simulation, forecasting, and resource optimization, including making, evaluating, and documenting assumptions.
  • Ability to distill strategic insights from interviews, workshops, and analyses, and draft succinct reports and presentations for diverse audiences.
  • Experience working with Ministries of Health and partners in low- and middle-income countries; experience supporting senior MOH officials is a strong plus.
  • Proven effectiveness working in a globally-distributed, team-based environment, with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Experience with project management, managing to budget and deadlines.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally, less than 10% of the time.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working directly with senior government officials in LMICs.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in business, economics, public health, or related field (strongly preferred).

Benefits & Perks

  • This is a temporary, non-benefitted position with an hourly rate of $43.26 in the U.S.
