About the Role

The Senior Programmatic Media Specialist at Grainger supports day-to-day biddable digital media strategy development, budget planning, campaign activation, optimization, analysis, and reporting. Reporting to the Manager of Programmatic Media, this role involves managing programmatic campaigns across display, paid social, and YouTube, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to the success of the broader Grainger business through strategic media management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day biddable digital media strategy development, budget planning, campaign activation, optimization, analysis, and reporting.
  • Represent the Programmatic Media team across functional business partners such as Creative, Content, SEO, Paid Search, Mass Media, Corporate Analytics, Testing and Optimization, and Customer Strategy.
  • Focus on programmatic campaign management across display, paid social, and YouTube.
  • Manage the official Grainger accounts across key social media and programmatic buying platforms.
  • Create customer-centric goals and KPIs for programmatic campaigns to align with marketing and business objectives.
  • Identify and develop audience targeting strategies across social media and programmatic platforms.
  • Own campaign budget reporting, reconciliation, accrual, and invoice processes.
  • Collaborate with creative and content teams to develop, coordinate, test, and report on ad copy and creative assets.
  • Generate insights and improve performance through daily, weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc reporting efforts.
  • Work with buying platform partners on strategy development, testing new capabilities, and ad-hoc requests.
  • Monitor trends in programmatic tools, applications, channels, design, and strategy.
  • Implement ongoing education to stay highly effective in the field.
  • Support incremental marketing and broader initiatives through setting, managing, and reporting on campaigns that align with testing and marketing goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with paid media buying and campaign management.
  • 5+ years of experience planning and managing end-to-end digital media campaigns, preferably with different social media ad managers or DSP platforms.
  • Experience utilizing paid media buying and optimization levers.
  • Experience with Data Management Platforms (DMPs), audience segmentation, and audience data onboarding tools.
  • Experience developing programmatic content and promotion.
  • Ability to build cross-functional relationships, plan, problem solve, and manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with multiple social media ad managers or DSP platforms.
  • Knowledge of audience segmentation and data onboarding tools.
  • Experience with developing programmatic content and promotions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • 2+ years of hands-on paid media buying and campaign management experience.
  • 5+ years of experience managing digital media campaigns.
