Senior Project Manager

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Predominantly work from home but able to travel to project sites when needed
• Lead the planning and implementation of medium-large power delivery projects ranging in complexity
• Support business development by participating in project scoping, fee development, proposal preparation, interviews, negotiations, and contract development
• Review assigned project(s) after award to define project scope, determine work procedures/sequences and develop schedules, budgets, staffing, vendor lists and progress billing points
• Meet with client management as necessary during the term of a project to resolve issues and to obtain approvals at the project's completion
• Maintain a continuing business relationship with clients as part of ongoing business development efforts
• Plan, organize, communicate and coordinate project engagements
• Manage the day-to-day activities of project engagements including Clients and Project Teams
• Achieve project objectives including quality/scopes, budgets, and schedules
• Analyze project performance and resource utilization
• Identify potential out of scope work
• Manage, and negotiate contract change orders
• Identify and manage project risk from the proposal phase through the duration of the project
• Train, mentor, and oversee other Project Managers and conduct/participate in portfolio and project reviews

Requirements

• Several years of experience executing T&D power delivery projects above and underground through the project life cycle
• Minimum of 10 years of increasing experience in the Power Delivery Industry with a minimum of 5 years in project management
• Firm understanding of financial management
• Demonstrated capabilities and success in managing large multi-discipline programs, projects, multi-office projects, and/or multiple projects
• Thorough understanding of various types of power delivery projects (transmission, substation, distribution)
• Strong skills in relationship development and management

Nice to Have

• Bachelors of Science in engineering from an accredited college or university (preferred but not required)
• PE (preferred but not required)
• PMP (preferred but not required)

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (preferred but not required)
• PE certification (preferred but not required)
• PMP certification (preferred but not required)
