Senior Project Manager

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with managing cost, schedule, and technical performance of programs to ensure project contractual work products are delivered on time and within budget.
• Manage subcontracts for critical components supplied by GDMS partners.
• Provide program interface with customers and internal engineering and manufacturing teams.
• Assist with the development of the performance measurement baseline and monitor execution, including reporting on technical performance, financial status, and program risks and issues.
• Assist the Program Manager by drafting the monthly Integrated Program Management Report (IPMR) with inputs from Control Account Managers.
• Identify program problems and issues, and coordinate with the Program Manager, functional managers, and customers to obtain solutions.
• Review reports and briefings prepared by staff for quality and compliance to contract requirements.
• Provide oversight and management of supplementary technical instructions from the customer.
• Support execution of program reviews, including quarterly travel.
• Prepare and deliver formal briefings.
• Comply with quality assurance and security procedures in the performance of duties.

Requirements

• Demonstrated project leadership in a related engineering development and/or production program for integrated hardware and software systems with a high degree of complexity.
• Knowledgeable of defense contracting and finance, including Earned Value (EIA-748).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Experienced with MS Office and related software applications.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance within a reasonable period.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
