About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Marketing, and Manufacturing teams to develop project scope, schedule, cost, quality, resources, and risk.
• Develop and follow a Project Management Plan; set team project goals, plan project deliverables, establish project schedules and milestones; manage all aspects of project schedule including risk with a focus on quality.
• Meticulously plan and execute projects by rigorous tracking to meet all key milestone dates.
• Ensure projects are delivered with 4 ONs (On Budget, On Product Cost, On Schedule, & On Quality).
• Manage and lead geographically dispersed project team members in daily activities; communicate and coordinate activities across cross-functional boundaries.
• Report and review project progress with stakeholders; formalize communication plans to ensure timely, accurate updates.
• Thrive in the front-end phase with ambiguous definitions and fast direction changes, managing technical risk and uncertainty.
• Apply formal software and hardware engineering and project management processes and best practices to ensure high-quality product delivery.
• Execute multiple complex projects from concept through requirements, design, development, testing, and deployment.
• Understand NPI (New Product Initiative) deliverables and drive all NPI programs as per NPI process.
• Create strategies for risk mitigation and contingency planning within larger, multi-project business objectives.
• Collaborate with other Project Managers, Program Managers, and Engineering Managers to coordinate efforts and leverage best practices.
• Identify and escalate risks early by understanding the entire system/business perspective.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent technical field; MS or MBA preferred.
• 8 - 12 years of direct experience as a Project Manager.
• PMP and Scrum Master certifications are required.
• Experience managing cross-functional project teams from initiation to market launch of Software/Hardware Development Lifecycle.
• Experience with development methodologies including waterfall, iterative, and agile methods.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project planning and hands-on experience with Jira.
• Excellent analytical, logical, and project management skills.
• High level of personal credibility at all organizational levels.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, adaptable to different audiences.
• Ability to manage multiple, changing priorities and coordinate activities across teams.
• Demonstrated critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong time management, organizational, and prioritization skills.
• Experience leading and influencing individuals and teams without formal authority.
• Strong consensus building, conflict resolution, and persuasive skills.
• Experience in evaluating, selecting, and adapting standard techniques and procedures, and devising new approaches as issues arise.
