Senior Software Development Engineer iOS

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Develop iOS code, especially complex use-cases, and partner with Product, UX, and Engineers to iterate features and improve the product.
• Mentor and guide team members on software engineering best practices.
• Improve and maintain mobile apps CI and CD infrastructure and pipelines, providing tooling support to team engineers.
• Collaborate to drive solutions that reduce cost and time to market.
• Be responsible for end-to-end application delivery, including coordination with required teams for production deployment.
• Monitor application health and KPIs, support triage of production issues, and perform root cause analysis to resolve product and operational issues.
• Advocate for security best practices and support security within engineering.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to fellow engineers in software design and development activities.

Requirements

• 5+ years experience in Software development.
• 5+ years experience in designing and developing iOS Mobile applications.
• 3+ years experience with modern iOS development frameworks such as SwiftUI.
• 2+ years experience working with cross-functional teams such as design, product, and data teams.
• 2+ years experience influencing large organizations on best practices in Mobile iOS development.
• 2+ years of accessibility experience, telemetry, and observability experience beyond Firebase.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (Highschool diploma plus 4 years relevant work experience).

Nice to Have

• Strong desire to build in test from the start with TDD development experience.
• Experience in continuous delivery in mobile, code review, static analysis, CI, automation, and functional testing (using XCUI and Snapshot).
• Experience handling multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with BFF (Backend for FrontEnd) and GraphQL.
• Expertise in iOS tools, frameworks, Reactive Programming, and building Design Systems libraries.
• Experience integrating with third-party frameworks, tools, and SDKs.
• Experience with authenticated sessions using OAuth and tokens.
• Experience with build systems on highly modularized apps (XCode Cloud, CircleCI).
• Experience with static and dynamic analyzers (lint, custom rules).
• Contributions to released customer-facing applications on the Apple Store.

Qualifications

• High school diploma plus 4 years relevant work experience or equivalent.
