About the Role

The Senior Software Engineer at 7-Eleven, Inc. is responsible for building and leading teams, enterprise partners, and vendors in delivering innovative digital products through software design and development of reusable components. The role involves developing and implementing e-Commerce strategies to enhance application performance, ensuring efficient product delivery through prioritization and planning, engaging in product and business discussions with a technical perspective, and fostering collaboration with engineers, architects, product leaders, and stakeholders to drive execution and manage communication of impacts. The position requires technical leadership and expertise in various technologies to support the company's digital initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Build and drive teams, enterprise partners, and vendors in delivering innovative digital products through the software design and development of reusable software components.
Develop and implement e-Commerce strategy to improve application performance.
Ensure efficient execution of overall product delivery by prioritizing, planning, and tracking sprint progress, including the development of shippable code.
Actively engage in product and business discussions with a technical eye for feasibility and adherence to overall roadmaps and architectural strategy.
Model an environment of strong collaboration and partnership with engineers, domain architects, product leaders, stakeholders, and partners to drive execution of roadmap, negotiate changes in priorities, and communicate impacts.
Lead and guide software developers in an Agile POD-based delivery sprint.
Train and help evaluate employee performance.
Implement best practices and coding standards to ensure code quality and avoid monetary damage.
Work with technologies including Java, Microservices, REST API development, Spring Boot, Spring JPA, Spring MVC, Node JS, React JS, JavaScript, Ajax, jQuery, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, Jenkins, GIT, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.

Requirements

Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
6 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in software design and development.
Experience in the retail or e-Commerce domain for at least 6 years.
Experience working with Java, Microservices, REST API development, Spring Boot, Spring JPA, Spring MVC, Node JS, React JS, JavaScript, Ajax, jQuery, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, Jenkins, GIT, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.

Qualifications

Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
