About the Role

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer 1 to contribute to large-scale planning, design, development, testing, and deployment of technology projects within the company's technology domain. The role involves working on initiatives that support Wells Fargo's banking systems and infrastructure, with a focus on delivering solutions that meet client needs while adhering to policies and compliance requirements. The position is based in Charlotte, NC, with telecommuting options and weekly in-person reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments.
  • Contribute to large scale planning of strategies.
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document projects and programs related to technology upgrades and deployments.
  • Review moderately complex technical challenges requiring in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures.
  • Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet client needs or potential new client needs.
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals.
  • Drive projects and ensure successful implementation and delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, or related technical field.
  • At least 4 years of experience in software engineering and development.
  • Four (4) years of experience with SDLC, JAVA/J2EE, RESTful or SOAP web services, SAS, SQL, or other data management, reporting, and query tools.
  • Experience with one (1) of the following databases: Oracle, MS SQL, Teradata, Mongo DB, or DB2 LUW.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies.
  • At least seven (7) of the following technical skills: experience with CI tools (Anthill or Jenkins), Linux or UNIX, Spring frameworks, CI/CD tools (Jenkins or Urbancode Deploy), Jira, Splunk, Maven/Oracle/SVN, application performance tools (Blazemeter, JMeter, Splunk, AppDynamics), API/UI design and development, automation and unit testing tools (Jasmine, Karma, Selenium, Junit, Jmeter), application security practices, or Calypso.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Calypso.
  • Experience in application or software security such as web application penetration testing, secure code review, or static code analysis.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related technical field.
  • 4 years of relevant software engineering experience.
