About the Role

This position is a hybrid role requiring employees to work from our headquarters location in Seattle, WA every Tuesday and Wednesday, and remote all other days. Redfin is revolutionizing the $75 billion real estate industry by using data, beautiful software, and innovative design to prioritize customers throughout the home-buying and selling process. The role involves working on the TREX team, which builds tools for experimentation, testing, and personalization to drive user growth and retention, including maintaining Redfin's A/B testing framework and supporting content orchestration and segmentation tools.

Key Responsibilities

Design and scale platforms that support product experimentation and personalization at Redfin.
Lead technical efforts, mentor other engineers, and collaborate with stakeholders to enable rapid, data-driven decision-making.
Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and APIs to support experimentation and personalization.
Develop scalable, high-quality applications backed by relational and non-relational databases.
Create and evolve internal tooling to improve platform reliability, observability, and developer experience.
Collaborate with product and analytics partners to shape experimentation strategies and priorities.
Lead technical discussions, drive architectural decisions, and contribute to long-term platform direction.

Requirements

At least 5+ years of experience building scalable systems or data platforms.
Deep familiarity with our tech stack: Java, Python, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, Airflow, Kubernetes, and AWS.
Proven experience designing and maintaining internal tools or platforms for other teams.
Strong communication and collaboration skills; able to work cross-functionally and mentor other engineers.
Passion for enabling teams to move faster through experimentation, automation, and infrastructure.

Nice to Have

Experience with data pipelines and APIs.
Experience working in a customer-centric, collaborative environment.
Knowledge of experimentation frameworks and content orchestration tools.
