Senior Software Engineer

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for full stack application development using Node.js, HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, and CSS.
• Work with object-oriented analysis and design, software design patterns, and coding principles.
• Use distributed system architecture, microservices, and event-driven development.
• Responsible for web services including REST, SOAP, and WSDL.
• Work on relational databases including SQL and Oracle, and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and Cassandra.
• Develop and deploy solutions in cloud platforms on AWS or Azure.
• Develop software with large microservice-based architectures and container orchestration frameworks.
• Work on message streaming platforms like Kafka.
• Use MVC/MVVM/MVP structures and development patterns.
• Perform software engineering practices for agile development, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build, testing, and deployment.
• Partner with product and program management teams to gather and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Provide mentoring and direction to team members and be a key contributor.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in software development or related roles.
• 5 years of experience using relational and NoSQL database systems.
• 3 years of experience developing and deploying solutions in cloud platforms.
• 3 years of experience developing software with large microservice-based architectures.
• 2 years of experience using message streaming platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
