Senior Software Engineer

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Design APIs, develop shippable code, documentation, and unit test new features for digital products.
• Work with fellow API Developers, Team Leads, and Architects to deliver features through the creation of re-usable RESTful APIs.
• Perform front end design, development, and integration.
• Collaborate with Quality, Product, and Cloud Engineering teams to ensure digital assets are fully functional, secure, and aligned with business needs.
• Perform pair programming, communicate ideas effectively with the team, assist in systems integration, performance testing, and product releases.
• Implement policies, roles, data access controls, monitor events, and resolve system and data issues for continuous API functioning.
• Mentor junior developers through work product review, and assist with design, development tools, and best practices.

Requirements

• 6-10 years of hands-on programming experience as a Senior Engineer or Technical Lead.
• At least 3 years of RESTful APIs / Server-side development experience using microservices architecture with Spring Boot.
• At least 3 years of experience in cloud services (preferably AWS), developing micro-services, CI/CD solutions, message queue systems, and background task management.
• At least 3 years of experience in developing NoSQL and SQL databases, designing data models, and querying data for quality, analysis, and reporting.
• Knowledge of API security frameworks, token management, and user access control including OAuth, JWT, OpenAPI.
• Experience working with API Gateway, CDNs, API performance testing, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring tools.
• Ability to work in an Agile / SCRUM environment.
• Strong writing and communication skills.
