As a Senior Software Engineer within PNC's AMG Technology organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA, Strongsville, OH, Dallas, TX, or Birmingham, AL. The position is primarily based in a PNC location. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at the manager's discretion. You will be part of a team working to enhance account opening, onboarding and wire/money movement experience initiatives in our Asset Management group, working with testers to address bugs, propose and design solutions, and develop scalable microservices and front-end interfaces.

Key Responsibilities

  • Designing and implementing scalable microservices using Spring boot with a strong focus on RESTful API development and integration.
  • Building dynamic front-end interfaces using the Angular Framework.
  • Developing, publishing and consuming secure APIs, supporting both synchronous and asynchronous integrations.
  • Collaborating with system integrators and downstream teams to ensure API contracts are well defined and documented (e.g., Swagger/Open API).
  • Working with OnBase, OneSpan for document lifecycle management—from intake and classification to archival—ensuring signature-ready documents are routed properly via automated workflows.
  • Overseeing vulnerability management tasks, ensuring secure code and compliance with internal security standards.
  • Collaborating across teams, mentoring junior developers, and ensuring adherence to architectural and coding standards.
  • Providing detailed technical design and development of software solutions using existing and emerging technology platforms.
  • Proposing and designing software solutions to address complex business needs.
  • Writing, testing, and deploying software.
  • Preparing technical and procedural documentation required for software.
  • Maintaining and debugging software.

Requirements

  • Frontend experience with Angular (latest versions), responsive UI, API integration.
  • Backend experience with Java, Spring Boot, RESTful services API, Oracle PL/SQL.
  • Knowledge of workflow and automation tools such as Flowable (Enterprise), IBM BAW, Salesforce Flow.
  • Experience with document and signature tools like OneSpan, DocuSign, OnBase, E-Sign, Wet sign workflows.
  • Experience with integration and messaging technologies including REST APIs, Kafka, data mapping and transformation.
  • Familiarity with DevOps and platform tools such as Git, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Docker, Red Hat OpenShift (OCP), SonarQube.
  • Understanding of compliance and security practices, including audit-ready workflows and secure coding.
  • Typically requires a university/college degree with 3+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, mentor junior developers, and adhere to architectural standards.
