About the Role

The Senior Software Engineer will be working as a Java/Spring Server-side engineer to design, code, and maintain web applications, APIs, and infrastructure components. The role involves working both independently and as part of a team, with minimal supervision, to develop scalable and efficient software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Designing and coding highly efficient and scalable software.
Refactoring and improving the maintainability of the codebase.
Troubleshooting production issues and providing resolution.
Solving complex scalability, platform, and integration problems.
Performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Ability to work across the full product lifecycle, from asking questions about product requirements through deploying code to production.
Proficiency in Java (core requirement).
Strong proficiency in AWS.
Experience with Spring Boot.
Knowledge of Microservices architecture.
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
Strong communication skills and ability to engage with Product Owners.

Nice to Have

Data engineering experience or aptitude to learn in this area.
Exposure to data platforms such as Snowflake, Azure, Google Cloud, or AWS.
Familiarity with building data pipelines and modeling data for consumer use.
Experience building APIs and/or Kafka-based integration layers.
Ability to build and manage CI/CD pipelines without a separate DevOps engineer.
Capability to deploy code to production with confidence through automation testing.
Strong understanding of asynchronous data exposure methods.
Soft skills such as being a self-starter, taking ownership, and handling evolving product needs.
