About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic development team at Brightstar, an innovative global leader in lottery technology. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions that meet our clients' needs. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software solutions to meet client needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Follow agile methodologies, emphasizing adaptability, transparency, and continuous improvement.
  • Share knowledge and provide constructive feedback within the team.
  • Implement and maintain RESTful services and integrate with UI components.
  • Ensure software applications are scalable, reliable, and secure.

Requirements

  • Master/Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent industry experience.
  • 5+ years of professional development experience.
  • Solid programming experience with Java (minimum 8), Python, and JavaScript.
  • Proven track record of designing and developing complex software applications that drive business value.
  • Knowledge of agile development methodologies, DevOps practices, CI/CD, Jenkins, cloud platforms, containerization, orchestration tools, GitHub, SpringFramework, SpringBoot, database systems, data structures, RESTful services, and distributed architecture.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and work with stakeholders at all levels.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with Kibana and Grafana.
  • Experience with queue messaging basics, preferably Kafka.
  • Knowledge of JavaScript basics.
  • Understanding of data security and best practices for sensitive data.

Qualifications

  • Educational background in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional development experience.
