Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the diverse, talented iOS team to help grow together, make future-oriented, opinionated architecture decisions, and deliver a robust, easy-to-use SDK.
- Build customer engagement SDKs for the world's best known apps and sites, providing rich APIs and highly functional, flexible user interfaces.
- Relentlessly optimize SDK performance, ease of integration, API design, and reliability.
- Contribute across system boundaries to our collection of multi-platform SDKs such as React Native, Flutter, and Unity SDKs.
- Explain complex technical concepts to colleagues and customers, both internal and external, technical and non-technical.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional experience as a Software Engineer.
- Demonstrable experience planning, building, delivering, and maintaining high-quality iOS software with a deep understanding of the ecosystem, including concurrency, performance, remote debugging, build & delivery systems, dependency management, semantic versioning, etc.
- Willingness to go beyond Swift in at least one of the following: TypeScript (React Native), Dart (Flutter), or C# (Unity).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrable ability to coach and mentor peers.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Braze's other client languages such as Swift, JavaScript (web, ReactJS).
- Willingness to contribute to Braze's backend systems like Ruby and Golang.
- Experience participating in, contributing to, or maintaining open source repositories and communicating with third-party contributors.
- Experience working in a distributed work environment.
