Senior Software Engineer - Platform

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Lead software development activities contributing towards the United AI Studio Enterprise Platform
• Design, implement, test, deploy, and maintain innovative software solutions to transform service performance, durability, cost, and security
• Use software engineering best practices to ensure a high standard of quality for all of the team's deliverables
• Write high quality distributed system software
• Decompose complex problems into simple, straight-forward solutions
• Perform code review and mentor junior engineers
• Be flexible and adapt to meet the needs of the team, project, or product
• Solicit differing views and be willing to change your mind as you learn more

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related technical field from an accredited institution
• 5+ years of full-time, professional experience as a Software Engineer or Software Developer, with a track record of delivering production-grade software systems
• 5+ years of experience developing backend systems using Java (Spring Boot) in enterprise environments
• 3+ years of experience contributing to or leading system architecture and design, including design patterns
• 3+ years of hands-on experience deploying and managing applications on public cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP), including use of cloud-native services, monitoring tools, and cost optimization strategies
• 3+ years of experience working across the full software development life cycle with high quality standards

Nice to Have

• 3+ years of experience designing and building RESTful APIs and writing production-grade code in Python, ideally in microservices or cloud-native environments
• 1+ years of hands-on experience using Terraform or similar Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools to automate cloud infrastructure provisioning and CI/CD workflows
• Demonstrated higher-level understanding of AI/ML use cases, including familiarity with model lifecycle management, data pipelines, and production deployment strategies for machine learning systems

• Educational background with a Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant technical field
