About the Role

Aon is seeking a Senior Vice President with Health Economics and Benefits Analytics Leadership Experience to lead and advance sophisticated health analytics solutions within the Commercial Analytics practice. This hybrid role offers flexibility to work virtually or from offices in Atlanta, Chicago, or New York, and involves providing strategic technical expertise, developing client impact solutions, and mentoring colleagues. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead delivery and scale-out for advanced analytics (measurement, predictive modeling) solutions across US Health Solutions.
  • Engage with key clients and prospects on sophisticated data, measurement, and predictive analytics topics, refining analyses and producing scalable solutions.
  • Collaborate with partners to develop data-based solutions and measurement methodologies to evaluate medical benefits programs, clinical programs, and claims forecasting solutions.
  • Develop member and program-focused analytics using datasets such as medical, pharmacy, eligibility, absence, productivity, worker's compensation, retirement, and related data.
  • Advance analytics client impact by working with internal partners including Client and Regional leaders, Innovation, Actuarial, Clinical, Pharmacy, and Legal teams.
  • Create analytics methods and content to quantify the impact of proposed changes, benefit programs, clinical and pharmacy interventions.
  • Develop thought leadership content such as whitepapers, trend studies, market analyses, and regulatory change impact analyses.
  • Stay current on emerging analytics and data platforms, developing plans to enhance solutions through technology and automation.
  • Serve as senior technical and methodology reviewer, mentoring less experienced colleagues and ensuring quality control.
  • Act as lead analytics advisor on special projects and cross-solution workstreams.

Requirements

  • Minimum 12 years of client-facing experience with US Healthcare Data and Insurance data, including consulting and national analytics work.
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate technical analyses to non-technical audiences including C-suite and senior leadership.
  • Experience in measurement and validation of healthcare programs, including development of financial, utilization, engagement, clinical outcomes, and value metrics.
  • Proficiency in evaluating programs, vendors, carriers, and developing scalable models and analyses.
  • Experience serving large/complex Fortune 500 organizations and developing scaled solutions for smaller self-insured groups.
  • Knowledge of the broader vendor ecosystem including Health Plans, PBMs, Data Warehouses, and Analytics solutions.
  • Practical experience with measurement methodologies, statistical measurement, causal inference, and related techniques.
  • Ability to review technical work and mentor junior staff such as analysts, data scientists, statisticians, and actuaries.
  • Detailed understanding of medical and pharmacy claims reporting, billing, and industry standards like ICD-10, CPT, DRG, CMS Codes.
  • Experience working with large health claims datasets, HIPAA standards, and de-identification methodologies.
  • Experience with statistical software, visualization tools, data cleaning, exploratory analysis, and predictive analytics.
  • Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and document systems.
  • Strong project management and planning skills.
  • Ability to travel 10-20% of the time.

Nice to Have

  • Advanced degree or equivalent certifications in Health Economics, Statistics, Data Science, Actuarial Science, Epidemiology, or related fields.

  • Advanced Degree or Bachelor’s degree with equivalent certifications in relevant fields such as Health Economics, Statistics, Data Science, Actuarial Science, or Epidemiology.
