Senior Videographer

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Creates video and multimedia content to grow the university's image, reputation, and brand among target audiences, working with the Creative Director and other senior leaders to develop concepts and storyboards.
• Collaborates with video staff on shooting schedules, coordinating talent, crew, props, and locations, and determining technical shooting methods.
• Works as a cinematographer on various video productions including marketing videos, university events, news stories, and social media videos, managing equipment setup, tear-down, and shot lists.
• Edits video projects to ensure alignment with approved concepts, department goals, and brand parameters, including color correction, audio mixing, motion graphics, and impact editing.
• Delivers final videos on time, manages YouTube and footage libraries, and oversees content curation.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a job-related field.
• Three or more years of job-related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of certification, training, education, and/or experience.
• Ability to work collaboratively with team members, faculty, staff, and students from diverse backgrounds.
• Strong conceptual, creative, and technical skills in videography and editing.
• Proficiency with multimedia authoring software such as Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere, or Final Cut Pro.
• Advanced video/audio editing skills and experience with multimedia production.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Physical ability to handle bulky equipment in variable weather conditions.
• Ability to organize and maintain video and production equipment and computers.
• Knowledge of storyboarding, scene styling, and technical setup for video shoots.

Nice to Have

• Experience working with project management software.
• Experience directing talent and managing production schedules.
• Knowledge of marketing messages and translating them into visual communications.
