About the Role

The Sr. Marketing Consultant is responsible for executing marketing execution and risk-related tasks as assigned, partnering with consumer marketing team leadership to understand and support organizational priorities. The role involves project coordination, workflow development, compliance coordination, and providing strategic marketing insights to enhance team performance within KeyBank National Association.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary liaison between SEO & SEM teams, LOB partners, and website managers.
  • Create and maintain tickets for SEO tasks and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Manage feedback loops, revisions, and approvals across multiple stakeholders.
  • Keep SEO initiatives on track through structured project oversight.
  • Coordinate with internal and external business partners including analytics, creative services, agencies, compliance, and leadership to support development and execution of marketing plans.
  • Partner with SEO leadership to define and implement the team's project management framework.
  • Recommend tools, templates, and processes to track SEO initiatives and improve visibility.
  • Build and maintain a centralized SEO project calendar and backlog tracker.
  • Optimize timelines for content creation, compliance review, and publishing.
  • Facilitate compliance reviews with writers and stakeholders.
  • Ensure feedback is accurately interpreted and incorporated without compromising SEO integrity.
  • Recognize and escalate potential risks and ensure adherence to all policies and procedures.
  • Support work of consultants and draw marketing strategies from analysis and hypothesis testing.
  • Develop strong business/financial knowledge and understand client strategies and competition.
  • Provide timely and effective communication to team members regarding marketing initiatives.
  • Assist with designing marketing plans and execution tactics for assigned product lines while adhering to procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, with flexibility for changing responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in marketing, business, or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of traditional and digital creative marketing development process.
  • Understanding of banking products and segment needs.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize based on objectives.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience with project management, stakeholder communication, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Knowledge of marketing principles and ability to provide tactical recommendations.

  • Experience with marketing workflow management tools and templates.
  • Experience in compliance review processes.
  • Knowledge of SEO & SEM strategies and tools.
  • Leadership or team management experience.
  • Financial acumen and understanding of business strategies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in marketing, business, or related field.

Benefits & Perks

  • Eligible for a base salary ranging from $71,000 to $115,000 annually depending on experience and location.
  • Eligibility for short-term and deferred incentive compensation based on performance.
