Service Line Specialist - Software Platform Engineering - Retail, CG

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Provide deep expertise in the SPE Practice supporting Cognizant's client account teams in vertical markets and their expansion plans.
• Act as a trusted advisor to clients and Cognizant Client Partners, blending strategic, tactical, and sales experience.
• Grow and manage the SPE portfolio with an emphasis on proactive growth, P&L targets, stakeholder management, and innovation.
• Handle translation of business problems into IT solutions and assist sales teams in qualifying prospects.
• Participate with sales and account teams in account penetration strategies.
• Build a proactive pipeline across the SBU in new areas and service lines for SPE.
• Advise the deal pursuit process end to end within the service line, collaborating with account teams and clients to explore opportunities and define business outcomes.
• Engage with clients to credentialize deals through workshops, demos, PoCs, and solution discussions.
• Define and promote thought leadership within the SPE Retail practice, including publishing and educating the market.
• Identify market gaps and opportunities for new offerings, developing strategies and roadmaps aligned with growth segments.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in consultative selling of software engineering and experience design services/solutions, including custom and platform-based solutions.
• Knowledge of Retail and/or Consumer Goods domain with at least 2+ years of experience in this domain.
• Ability to run the entire sales lifecycle from opportunity identification to negotiation and contracting.
• Proven ability to close deals ranging from $250K to over $5M.
• 5+ years of experience in software development and implementation areas.
• Strong understanding of current industry trends in software, experience, and quality engineering.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of structuring presentations and proposals.
• Self-driven with flexibility and ownership of objectives.
• Logical, structured communication style and ability to influence decision-makers.
