Snowflake Data and Platform Management Analyst-Intermediate Level

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Support maintenance of Information Asset Inventories to ensure data and assets are cataloged appropriately.
• Support delivery of information in accordance with Information Governance standards and data management practices through documentation, collaboration, and execution of defined processes.
• Maintain metadata repository and proper metadata association.
• Support team members in reviewing, validating, and recording metadata and data quality information.
• Develop and document definitions and data quality rules that support critical business processes.
• Support the maintenance of metadata repository and proper metadata association.
• Document data quality plan and implement approved data quality rule checks.
• Monitor data quality results, reports, and dashboards, and escalate as appropriate.
• Support documentation and update of data quality corrective action plans.
• Support creation and maintenance of master or reference data.
• Support archiving and purging activities of data in compliance with legal requirements.
• Support and begin to define processes and enhancements to mitigate data quality risks.
• Ensure risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business or Science discipline; OR 4 years of relevant data and analytics or technical experience.
• 2 years of experience in an information management practice, business application function, or data delivery; OR an advanced degree in a Business or Science discipline.
• Working knowledge of data management practices and awareness of data governance theories and tools.
• Beginning SQL knowledge including SQL-based languages.
• Ability to build business knowledge through meaningful partnerships at the individual contributor and leadership levels.
• Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated presentation and communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Working knowledge with data management tools: Alation, Bigeye, Control-M, Snowflake, Cloud computing, Python.
• Experience with the design of effective data quality and monitoring rules, as well as the timely resolution of data quality defects.
• Undergraduate degree in a quantitative discipline: computer science, data and analytics, mathematics, engineering.
