About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Leverage Snowflake DB and its architecture principles and capabilities.
• Utilize Snowflake functionalities such as Streams, Tasks, and Time Travel.
• Design and develop data pipelines that are cost-optimized and performance-efficient.
• Perform data loading and unloading of formats such as CSV, JSON, and VARIANT.
• Create database objects that support business processes.
• Build proof of concept projects to demonstrate solutions.
• Implement strong SQL procedures within Snowflake.
• Apply knowledge of SDLC, testing, and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Bitbucket, and JIRA.
• Perform unit testing and debugging of code.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in software development leveraging Snowflake and SQL.
• Expertise in Snowflake database and architecture principles.
• Experience with data warehousing, data architecture, ETL pipelines, and data engineering at enterprise scale.
• Proficiency in creating SQL procedures and building data pipelines.
• Experience with data formats such as CSV, JSON, and VARIANT.
• Understanding of code versioning tools like Git, Mercurial, or SVN.
• Strong debugging and unit testing skills.
• Ability to create database objects supporting business processes.

Nice to Have

• Snowflake Certified certification.

Qualifications

• Experience in data engineering and data pipeline development.
• Knowledge of SDLC, testing, and CI/CD processes.
