About the Role

The Center for Economic and Policy Research (CEPR) is seeking a Social and Digital Media Associate for its International Team. This part-time, grant-funded position involves designing social media strategies, creating engaging content, and supporting international program goals. The role offers flexibility for remote work or based in Washington, DC, with a focus on promoting economic and social justice through digital communications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with CEPR's International Team members to design social media strategies and create engaging content to support CEPR's international program goals.
  • Create compelling written, visual, and multimedia content for CEPR's international-facing social media accounts.
  • Coordinate content releases with other CEPR colleagues handling social media.
  • Contribute to coalition and partner-led social media campaigns in collaboration with the International Team.
  • Support the creation of shareable content that team members can post on their own social media accounts to amplify CEPR's work.
  • Monitor analytics for CEPR's international social media presence and provide actionable insights to strengthen reach and impact.

Requirements

  • Creativity, strong writing skills, and experience in digital communications, especially for international audiences.
  • Compatibility with CEPR's mission and commitment to social and economic justice.
  • Substantive, relevant experience and background in areas such as US policy in Latin America, international economics, and IMF policy.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Experience creating content for and managing social media accounts, preferably for nonprofits, campaigns, or international organizations.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills.
  • Ability to develop and interpret social media performance metrics.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and communicative, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Fluency in English required; additional language skills (especially Spanish) are a plus.
