About the Role

The Social Media and Content Specialist (SMCS), under the direction of the Director of Marketing and PR, will be responsible for developing and executing Conway Medical Center's (CMC) social media strategy, managing our social media presence, and driving engagement across various social media platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with CMC's marketing goals.
  • Manage and create content for all social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.).
  • Monitor, listen, and respond to users in a timely manner.
  • Analyze and report on social media metrics, providing actionable insights to improve performance.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure consistent brand messaging and to source content ideas.
  • Plan and execute social media campaigns to support marketing initiatives and increase brand awareness.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Develop and maintain a content calendar for all social media activities.
  • Engage with industry influencers and build community partnerships through social media.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA) in all social media activities.
  • Train other team members on social media best practices and platform updates as needed.
  • Display core customer service skills and work effectively and collaboratively with nursing colleagues, physicians, department heads, members of executive leadership, and business leaders.
  • Utilize strong organizational skills and demonstrate competency in interactive media, IA/UI/UX interface design, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by department leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in digital marketing.
  • Proven track record of growing and engaging social media audiences.
  • Experience with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Buffer).
  • Proficiency in creating and editing visual content for social media (graphics, videos).
  • Strong understanding of current social media trends and best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Hospital/Healthcare based experience preferred.
  • Sample portfolio showing strong conceptual thinking and ability to drive creative solutions.
  • Photography and videography experience preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with various departments and team members.
  • Effective organizational and verbal communication skills.
  • Understanding of interactive media, IA/UI/UX interface design, and proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office Suite.
