About the Role

The Social Media & Relationship Specialist reports to the Director of Marketing and Public Relations at County College of Morris. The role involves implementing CCM's social media strategy for Workforce Development, developing and maintaining an active social media presence, promoting courses, programs, apprenticeships, grant-supported training, success stories, and business and community workforce education. The specialist will work closely with the WFD Coordinator to align content, contribute to marketing efforts to promote the college's Center for Workforce Development, engage with audiences to drive enrollment, create content around specific WFD offerings, distribute content via email blasts, and review and report metrics to optimize social media presence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement CCM's social media strategy for Workforce Development (WFD).
  • Develop and maintain an active social media presence focused on promoting WFD courses, programs, apprenticeships, grant-supported training, success stories, and workforce education.
  • Work closely with the WFD Coordinator to align on content to highlight.
  • Contribute to marketing efforts to promote the college's Center for Workforce Development.
  • Engage with audiences to drive enrollment.
  • Create content around specific WFD offerings and distribute content via email blasts.
  • Review and report social media metrics to the Director of Marketing & PR on a monthly basis.
  • Use insights from metrics to identify opportunities, gaps, and shifts needed to maintain an optimal social media presence.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree required with a minimum of 1-3 years of strong work-related experience.
  • Must be collaborative and able to work in a highly creative environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to exercise independent judgment.
  • Highly proficient in Hootsuite, Social Media Platforms, Google Analytics, Canva, Constant Contact.
  • Experience in using other MS Office Suite applications and MS 365.
  • Flexible daytime schedule with some weekend and evening hours may be required.

  • Previous experience in higher education.
