About the Role

The Communications team is hiring a Full Time Social Media Coordinator to develop and manage social media strategies, content, and campaigns to support the hospital's marketing and community engagement efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with overall marketing and business objectives.
  • Create, edit, and publish daily content, including text, images, and videos, tailored to specific social media platforms.
  • Plan and execute social media campaigns, including contests and giveaways, to increase engagement and reach.
  • Monitor social media metrics, such as engagement rates and follower growth, to evaluate the success of strategies and provide regular reports to leadership.
  • Research and identify new trends, platforms, and communication methods to enhance social media efforts.
  • Develop long-term strategies and set measurable goals.
  • Conduct interviews, draft articles, and take photos for internal and external communication pieces.
  • Draft and send news releases.
  • Assist with special events within and outside the hospital, coordinating with Employee Engagement, Community Engagement, etc.
  • Assist with content on the Crouse Insider (intranet) and crouse.org.
  • Assist with preparation of and participation in employee activity events.
  • Assist with mailings and the distribution of communications pieces.
  • Update media list and collect news clips.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications or related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years in broad-based marketing, communications, and/or PR role.
  • Previous experience in website content management system use, social media use, tracking, and data analysis.
  • Excellent written, verbal communications, and computer skills.
  • Professional demeanor; organized; ability to work independently on assignments and juggle multiple projects.
  • Availability to work 40 hours/week, with some evening and weekends for special events/community activities.
  • Experience with WordPress, Canva, Constant Contact, and other platforms is a plus.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with website content management systems like WordPress.
  • Experience with Canva, Constant Contact, and other digital platforms.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in communications or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in marketing, communications, or PR
