About the Role

Welcome to the world of Sanuk! We're an unconventional footwear brand on a mission to be the outfitter for the journey to your happy place. Since 1997, we've been making people smile (and pass it on) with footwear that's comfy, playful, and just a little unexpected. Around here, fun comes first—and smiles are wider, every step of the way! We're looking for a Social Media Coordinator who's ready to help us bring that spirit to life online. Someone who's equal parts trend-spotter, content creator, and community builder—ready to roll up their sleeves and get scrappy to make Sanuk stand out in the feed.

Key Responsibilities

Concept, capture, edit, and publish daily content across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and Pinterest.
Jump in on trending formats, memes, and cultural moments to keep feeds fresh and relevant.
Partner with the creative team for larger-scale campaigns while also shooting and editing on the fly using tools like iPhone, Canva, or Adobe.
Live in the comments and DMs—respond quickly and with personality that reflects our brand voice.
Spark conversation and engage with followers, creators, and fans to build community and brand love.
Support influencer partnerships and amplify user-generated content.
Track performance metrics (engagement, reach, growth) and share insights bi-weekly.
Keep a pulse on competitor activity and industry trends, recommending creative pivots when needed.
Experiment and optimize content based on performance data.
Assist in planning and executing brand campaigns, product launches, contests, and collaborations.
Help manage paid social campaigns alongside the broader marketing team.
Maintain and update the content calendar to ensure timely execution.
Support the Marketing Manager and Digital Marketing Director on a day-to-day basis.

Requirements

1-2 years of social media, digital marketing, or related experience (internships count).
A true passion for social media—you're the one sending your friends TikTok's before they're viral.
Strong writing and communication skills with a knack for witty, engaging captions.
Comfortable behind and in front of the camera (bonus if you like being part of the content).
Basic photo/video editing skills: experience with Canva, CapCut, and Adobe Suites is a plus.
Extremely organized, proactive, and able to juggle multiple projects in a fast-moving environment.
Must be based in the LA area and excited to work in-office in Manhattan Beach—this role is hands-on and collaborative.
