About the Role

The Florida Panthers are a professional hockey team with a strong community presence, operating multiple facilities in Broward County, Florida. Key Responsibilities

  • Support the day-to-day management of all Florida Panthers owned social media channels, including X, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
  • Stay current with relevant social media trends and apply them to the Panthers brand and ancillary accounts.
  • Assist in leading coverage of Panthers games, events, concerts, and other related activities.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to coordinate efforts and cross-promotional opportunities for events such as theme nights, community initiatives, and sponsorship activations.
  • Monitor social conversations around the Panthers, NHL, and current social/cultural landscape.
  • Focus on brand building, awareness, and relevancy to grow the Florida Panthers brand in the market and beyond.
  • Participate in brainstorming, creating, and executing content ideas for various initiatives.
  • Assist in influencer marketing strategies.
  • Help manage relationships with local teams, affiliates, NHL social accounts, and vendors.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of relevant experience managing brand social media accounts.
  • Extremely organized and detail-oriented, with a focus on quality and consistency.
  • Passion for social media, pop culture, and sports.
  • Strong understanding of social media culture, platforms, trends, and strategy.
  • Proficiency in using data-driven strategies to drive KPIs and decision making.
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, marketing, or related field.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must maintain organizational confidentiality standards.
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a team-first mentality.

Nice to Have

  • Experience using DSLR and mirrorless cameras.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, marketing, or other related experience.
