About the Role

As the Social Media Lead at Zoom in Springfield, Illinois, you will be responsible for developing and executing the company's organic and boosted brand social media marketing strategies. You will drive brand awareness through targeted campaigns and activations. This position reports to the Head of Brand & Activation and involves working within a high-impact, cross-functional team focused on building programs that connect brand and media performance to business growth. The team unifies brand marketing, partnerships, flagship events, social media, and paid media into a cohesive strategy to drive awareness, adoption, retention, and pipeline growth across the Zoom portfolio, spanning the full customer lifecycle with a focus on outcomes and business impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing owned and earned B2B and B2C social media strategies supporting Zoom's brand, products, partners, and campaigns.
  • Planning and delivering social media campaigns and assets, including writing creative briefs, managing review processes, and creating assets when needed.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams such as brand marketing, paid media, product marketing, creative, partner marketing, PR, and executives to develop and execute social content that drives engagement and awareness.
  • Managing organic social media posting and maintaining content calendars across platforms including LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, Threads, Facebook, X, and Reddit.
  • Overseeing paid boosted content strategy and influencer campaigns.
  • Staying updated on trends, best practices, and innovations in social media marketing and applying learnings to keep strategies cutting edge.
  • Analyzing performance metrics via social management tools to optimize content for impact.
  • Building weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance reports and social listening reports for senior leadership and partners.
  • Mentoring and coaching other social team members as needed.

Requirements

  • Have a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Have 8+ years of experience in social media, ideally with a major brand.
  • Experience managing agency relationships and negotiating contracts.
  • Good understanding of influencer marketing and partnering with content creators.
  • Analytical and data-driven skills with experience using social media analytics tools.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Passion for social media and staying current with trends and best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications
