About the Role

The Social Media Marketing Specialist works directly with internal teams, external agencies, partners, artists, influencers, creative and production partners, and other key resources. The role involves planning strategic organic and paid social channel content objectives related to sales and business performance goals, socializing plans and content calendars, producing and aggregating multimedia content, and ensuring accurate and timely distribution across various digital audiences. The position also includes providing performance reports to highlight successes and identify new opportunities, supporting Taylor Guitars' acquisition and lead generation efforts, and staying current with social media trends and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategizes, plans, implements, manages, and executes Taylor's global organic social media, paid media, and content strategies across channels.
  • Plans, develops, and curates shareable and timely content for social marketing channels such as TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, Pinterest, Reddit, Substack, and forums.
  • Works with internal teams, agencies, artists, influencers, and affiliates to develop and execute social strategies for reach, awareness, prospecting, collaborations, retargeting, commerce, and ad campaigns.
  • Collaborates with design, copywriting, photo, video, content, artist relations, SEO/GEO, and other teams to develop strategic messaging and optimize content.
  • Oversees social marketing content creation projects, manages workflow, and ensures deadlines and budgets are met.
  • Develops content strategies targeting different customer segments across their journey.
  • Supports follower and subscriber growth by providing engaging, helpful, and inspiring content aligned with customer needs.
  • Monitors trends, hashtags, and key moments to keep content relevant and culturally current.
  • Engages with audiences by responding to DMs, comments, mentions, and tags, and manages the brand within online communities.
  • Tracks, quantifies, and reports on audience growth, engagement, traffic, leads, sales conversions, and other KPIs to derive insights and identify opportunities.
  • Keeps the team updated on social media best practices, algorithm changes, and new technologies.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in developing social and content experiences for integrated, digitally-native, CPG, or lifestyle brands.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
  • Passion and experience playing acoustic and electric guitar is required.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Taylor Guitars brand, the guitar industry, and music culture is highly preferred.
  • B2C and B2B experience is preferred.
  • Ability to travel domestically as necessary.
  • Proficiency in creating shareable video, photo, and live content for social channels including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, Reddit, Substack, and forums.
  • Proficiency with social/project management and analytics platforms like Sprout Social, Iconosquare, Hootsuite, Buffer, Later, CoSchedule, Airtable, Slack, Google Analytics, Google Data Studio, and similar tools.
  • Knowledge of social algorithms, targeting, UTMs, and best practices.
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Experience with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Canva, Midjourney, Jasper, and others is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud applications like Photoshop and Illustrator is preferred.
  • Knowledge of video editing software such as Premiere or AfterEffects is a plus.
  • Experience with project management software like Airtable, Asana, or Jira is a plus.
  • Understanding of SEO and GEO ranking factors is a plus.
  • Excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a motivated, positive attitude.

Nice to Have

  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud applications including Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Experience with video editing software such as Premiere or AfterEffects.
  • Knowledge of SEO and GEO ranking and optimization factors.
  • Experience in global or multilingual environments, especially in Latin America, Europe, Japan, and China.
  • Proficiency with project management tools like Airtable, Asana, or Jira.
  • Experience with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Jasper, etc.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in social and content development for relevant brands
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (preferred)
  • Passion and experience playing acoustic and electric guitar
