About the Role

The Social Media Specialist will help shape the voice of beloved, iconic brands through bold, trend-setting content. This role involves producing engaging platform-native content, supporting community management duties, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure a consistent and authentic brand voice across channels. The position is remote, based in the Greater Chicago or Greater New York metro areas, and involves working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment to build loyalty and drive cultural relevance for the brands.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create thumb-stopping content that resonates with diverse audiences across platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook
  • Design static graphics and edit short-form videos using brand guidelines and current trends
  • Collaborate with internal teams and agency partners to align content with brand strategy and campaign goals
  • Stay ahead of social trends, platform updates, and emerging formats to inform content strategy
  • Support the creation of social toolkits, templates, and creative briefs
  • Monitor and engage with audiences across owned social channels using social media management tools (e.g., Sprinklr)
  • Respond to key comments and messages in a timely, brand-appropriate manner
  • Flag emerging issues, trends, or opportunities to internal teams

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in social media content creation
  • Experience in community management is a plus
  • Strong graphic design and video editing skills (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, CapCut, etc.)
  • Deep understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices
  • Experience with social media management tools (Sprinklr preferred)
  • Excellent copywriting and communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, design, or a related field preferred
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
