About the Role

The Taco Bell social team is an industry-leading group that develops and builds a breakthrough brand presence, innovative programs, and leading community engagement for Taco Bell across social channels and platforms. As the Associate Manager, Marketing for the Social Media team, you'll be responsible for spearheading the Tuesdays & taco culture social content strategy to grow cultural relevance and brand love. This includes leading the creative strategy, development and execution of all related social communications (owned/earned/paid) designed to build awareness for these initiatives. This role entails collaborating closely with cross functional partners, external agencies and high-level executives, and requires exemplary campaign management. Reporting directly to the evergreen social strategy lead, this position focuses on expanding social strategy, managing campaigns, providing strategic insights, and leveraging internet culture to connect with target audiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Expand the overall profile of Social Strategy for Taco Bell to elevate and maintain customer relevance across our key pillars.
  • Lead and cross-functionally manage social campaigns that support marketing initiatives from brief to execution.
  • Provide comprehensive progress-reports and in-depth strategic insights to leadership and cross-functional partners.
  • Partner with Brand Experience and PR team to build big, integrated ideas that generate buzzy cultural moments.
  • Collaborate closely with the brand partner and category teams to ensure brand objectives, messaging and KPIs are being met.
  • Provide thought leadership to motivate teams and gain buy-in for your vision.
  • Leverage a deep understanding of internet culture to ensure content seamlessly integrates with platforms and connects with the target audience.
  • Immerse yourself in internet culture, pop culture, and trends to inspire creative teams and push for reactive and real-time content.
  • Develop and execute tactical social plans related to key spaces, partnering with creative teams on opportunities and rollout plans.
  • Identify appropriate paid/owned/earned tactics and channels for initiatives and integrate with the omni-channel ecosystem.
  • Provide guidance and strategic counsel to creative teams on content formats.
  • Lead creative briefs to inspire and inform the development of brand voice content.
  • Engage actively in all aspects of the job, emphasizing attention to detail and collaboration under pressure.

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience working in social media.
  • Engaged daily in the evolving landscape of internet culture and trends with a passion and profound understanding of the social media ecosystem.
  • Fluent in providing clear and productive creative direction and experience writing and receiving briefs.
  • Proven ability to enhance social creative ideation, maximize strategies, and create breakthrough opportunities.
  • Ability to inspire creative teams.
  • Comfort and confidence with emerging content forms, channels, and technology.
  • Strong collaboration skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills — on the page and in presentation.
  • Outstanding organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • A hands-on approach, ensuring even small tasks are executed with precision.
