Software Architect - Senior

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of an OBIEE 12C structure and websites to support OASAS reporting and interagency information structures.
• Provide technical support to BI OBIEE application delivery teams, participate in development, testing, QA activities, and analyze and resolve OBIEE 12C technical problems.
• Support OBIEE 12c environment including production control activities, point release upgrades, and application software maintenance.
• Perform development activities for websites using HTML, HTML5, CSS, and Javascript.
• Support the Treatment Availability Dashboard and Find Addiction Treatment website using Java web Services and AngularJS.
• Transfer knowledge and provide technical training to State IT staff in support and development of OBIEE 12c/OAS.
• Work closely with engineers to design, implement, and delegate components, provide work estimates, and resolve key performance issues.
• Contribute ideas to improve product functionality, maintainability, and performance.
• Participate in design and development tasks for solutions and assist with building test cases.
• Work with testing teams to ensure test plans are executed properly.
• Assist development team with QA/QC activities.
• Collaborate with application programmers, DBAs, and system architects to create solutions aligned with business goals.
• Develop and adhere to standards, processes, and procedures.
• Assist with optimization and tuning activities as necessary.
• Plan and coordinate OBIEE software installations and upgrades.
• Provide hands-on training and mentoring for other staff.

Requirements

• Experience supporting OBIEE 12c development and support activities.
• Knowledge of OBIEE 12c environment management, including upgrades and maintenance.
• Proficiency in web development using HTML, HTML5, CSS, and Javascript.
• Experience with Java web Services and AngularJS.
• Ability to support and develop dashboards and analytics for reporting purposes.
• Strong problem analysis and technical support skills.
• Ability to work closely with engineering teams and contribute to design and development.
• Experience with testing, QA/QC activities, and creating test cases.
• Ability to provide technical training and transfer knowledge to staff.
• Experience with software installation, upgrades, and environment management.

Nice to Have

• Experience with OBIEE 12c environment upgrades and production control activities.
• Knowledge of interagency information structures and reporting requirements.
• Experience working in a government or public sector environment.
