Key Responsibilities

Responsible for designing, developing, testing, operating and maintaining products
Takes full stack ownership by consistently writing production-ready and testable code
Creates optimal design adhering to architectural best practices; considers scalability, reliability and performance of systems/contexts affected when defining technical designs
Performs analysis on failures, proposes design changes, and encourages operational improvements
Makes sound design/coding decisions keeping customer experience in the forefront
Takes feedback from code review and applies changes to meet standards
Conducts code reviews to provide guidance on engineering best practices and compliance with development procedures
Ensures all aspects of product development follow compliance and security best practices
Embeds software reliability engineering standards into development processes
Contributes to a culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement
Reviews tasks critically and ensures they are appropriately prioritized and sized for incremental delivery; anticipates and communicates blockers and delays before they require escalation

Requirements

Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
Three to five years of relevant experience
Strong hands-on experience in Java EE design and development
Experience with REST API & Spring Boot design and development
Knowledge in API security risks and microservices resilience
Experienced in Git, Jira, Jenkins, and test automation
Experience in agile methodology, and SCRUM/KABAN
Adept with agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles

Nice to Have

Experience in Apigee, Istio, Kubernetes, Kafka, AWS and GCP
Experience in financial application development
Good communication and collaboration skills to drive onshore/offshore development activities
Thorough understanding of features, user impacts, flows, and purpose
Thorough understanding of the business model in relation to current product focus area

Qualifications

Educational background includes a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
