Space is a critical domain, connecting our technologies, our security and our humanity. While others view space as a destination, we see it as a realm of possibilities, where we can do more — we can innovate, invest, inspire and integrate our capabilities to transform the future. At Lockheed Martin Space, we aim to harness the full potential of space to cultivate innovation, reduce costs, and push the boundaries of what technology can achieve. We're creating future-ready solutions, focusing on resiliency and urgency through our 21st Century Security® vision. We're erasing boundaries and forming partnerships across industries and around the world. We're advancing spacecraft and the workforce to fuel the next generation. And we're reimagining how space can connect us, ensuring security and prosperity. Join us in shaping a new era in space and find a career that's built for you. The selected candidate will join the Tranche 2 Transport Layer Beta (T2B) team in developing capabilities for the Space Development Agency (SDA). The SDA's Transport Layer is a mesh network of over one hundred optically interconnected satellites that provides a resilient, low-latency, high-volume data transport communication system. T2B will consist of 90 satellites, 36 of which will be produced by Lockheed Martin, and provide global communications access and deliver persistent regional encrypted connectivity in support of Warfighter missions around the globe. The SDA's transport layer will serve as the backbone for CJADC2 built on low-latency data transport and sensor-to-shooter connectivity. We're looking for a highly motivated and experienced software engineer to join our fast-paced development effort and contribute to the success of a very challenging and rewarding mission. The successful candidate will have a commendable work ethic, good communication skills, a great attitude, be a results-oriented team player, creative thinker and problem-solver, and follow all ethical standards of the Lockheed Martin Corporation.
