The Boeing Company is seeking Software Engineers (Associate, Mid-Level) to join the Phantom Works Weapons Software team in Saint Charles, MO. The team develops software for groundbreaking weapon systems, including hypersonic and advanced precision weapons, focusing on real-time embedded software and operational flight programming in open architectures, using agile methodology and modern development tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develops, documents and maintains architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software products.
  • Debugs and resolves issues identified to ensure the reliability and efficiency of software products.
  • Implements current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks and changes in regulations relevant to software development.
  • Develops, maintains, enhances and optimizes software products and functionalities for systems integrations.

Requirements

  • 2 years of experience in C or C++, Python, c#.
  • 2 years of experience in Linux, VxWorks, Green Hills Integrity or other RTOS.
  • 2 years of experience in gcc and git or similar version control system.
  • 2 years of experience in Agile software development, software architecture development, open architectures.

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
  • 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of host environments, including processors, operating systems and networks.
  • Ability to build, integrate and troubleshoot software components.
  • Knowledge of software architecture and design methodologies.
  • Knowledge of software development processes in compliance with established standards.
  • Knowledge of general and software development and testing tools.
  • Knowledge of domains, characteristics, constraints and products that require software.
  • Knowledge of implementation, validation, and verification processes, practices, and guidelines.
