As a Software Engineer at MFC, you will join one of the largest networks of software professionals, implementing cutting edge technologies on both existing and new development platforms. Key Responsibilities
- Develop Embedded Software
- Integrate features/algorithms into C/C++ applications
- Plan, conduct, and coordinate software development activities
- Design, develop, document, test, and debug software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment
- Apply knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software
- Correct program errors, prepare operating instructions, compile documentation of program development, and analyze system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls
Requirements
- Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance at Secret level
- BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field
- Proficiency in C++ 11 or higher
- Experience in embedded real-time software development for millisecond/microsecond response time systems
- Hardware/Software integration and testing experience
- Experience with Linux OS
Nice to Have
- Software requirements, design, and architecture
- Knowledge of Ada
- Experience with VxWorks
- Familiarity with Agile development process
- Experience with Git and/or GitLab for configuration management and version control
- Experience with automated testing
- Knowledge of CentOS 7.0 or higher
- Experience with Jira for issue tracking
- Proficiency in Python
- Technical document development skills
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship
- Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance
