About the Role

Chewy is seeking highly driven and passionate early career professionals to join their software development teams in Fort Lauderdale, FL, and Boston, MA, as Entry-Level Software Engineers. This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with full-stack engineering teams supporting Chewy's behind-the-scenes operations, gain exposure to the entire business, and work on cloud-based integrations that enhance the company's core e-commerce platform. Key Responsibilities

Work on functions that improve the end-to-end supply chain experience, including purchase order management, electronic data exchange platforms, vendor compliance tools, inventory visibility, and operational analytics.
Design and build interfaces that integrate every aspect of the supply chain through cross-functional collaboration.
Write simple, scalable, and sustainable code that deeply understands business needs and contributes to team success and operational excellence.
Participate in creating ground breaking solutions that help Chewy remain the most trusted and convenient destination for pet parents.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Mathematics, Engineering, or Information Technology.
1-2 years of experience coding in Java.
Hands-on experience with AWS services for cloud-based application development.
Strong fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, and complexity analysis.
Proficiency in working with databases and SQL.
The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and take accountability for your work.

Nice to Have

Exposure to or experience with additional AWS tools and services.
Familiarity with software engineering best practices across the full development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
Experience working in an agile environment (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
A proactive attitude and willingness to take on new challenges and learn from peers.

Qualifications

Educational background in relevant fields such as computer science, Mathematics, Engineering, or Information Technology.
