About the Role

TransCore (TRN), a subsidiary of ST Engineering, is seeking an experienced and innovative Software Engineer II to join the Software development team. This position will be based in Nashville, TN or Austin, TX. This is a unique opportunity to work in all areas of the software development lifecycle - analyst, designer, developer, and unit tester for lane-level systems. Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and provide support for lane level software systems and tools including zone controller applications, RFID controller applications, vehicle classification applications and other software required for operation of lane level roadside toll systems.
Troubleshoot fielded systems and identify necessary software fixes if needed.
Develop new features for existing applications.
Design and implement next generation RTCS systems and tools.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, Computer Science, or a related Engineering field.
Typically requires 6+ years of experience in writing multi-threaded programs for real time applications using C/C++ in Linux and C# in Windows operating systems.
Strong coding skills in C/C++, C# to perform development and maintenance of real time applications running on Linux and Windows environments.
Experience with single board computers and embedded Operating Systems.
Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Architecture (OOA).
