About the Role

Sony Interactive Entertainment seeks a Software Engineer II in San Diego, CA to design and develop real-time distributed systems to power core experiences across the company network. Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop real-time distributed systems to support core experiences across the company network.
  • Collaborate with data scientists on developing and debugging AI search algorithms including depth first, A*, and uniform cost search.
  • Apply stochastic and deterministic search algorithms to solve real-time use cases.
  • Work with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP, and utilize their machine learning services like SageMaker.
  • Program in Python, Scala, and Java.
  • Utilize containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Develop, train, and deploy machine learning models using tools including Databricks, Kubeflow, and Seldon.
  • Implement Agile and DevOps methodologies to support iterative development and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Manage code repositories using Git version control system.
  • Set up end-to-end CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and alerting tools.
  • Work with relational (SQL) and NoSQL databases in machine learning applications.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent.
  • Two (2) years of experience collaborating with data scientists on developing and debugging AI search algorithms.
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and machine learning services (SageMaker).
  • Proficiency in programming languages including Python, Scala, and Java.
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of data engineering and ETL processes.
  • Experience developing, training, and deploying machine learning models using tools like Databricks, Kubeflow, and Seldon.
  • Familiarity with Agile and DevOps software development methodologies.
  • Experience with Git version control system.
  • Ability to set up end-to-end CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
  • Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with cloud machine learning services such as SageMaker.
  • Knowledge of alerting tools and monitoring CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience working in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent.

Benefits & Perks

  • Salary range: $168,431.00 - $218,500.00/year.
  • Telecommuting and/or working from home may be permissible pursuant to company policies.
